Henningsen Nederland BV was founded in 1984 by Henningsen Foods Inc. based in Nebraska USA. HFI was already for several decades a worldwide well-known manufacturer of dehydrated meat and egg products.
By establishing a factory in the Netherlands they were able to serve the European market.
The demand for dehydrated meat and poultry products in Europe was confirmed by the fact that HNL expanded their product range and so the turnover yearly. In the beginning of the 90’s a spray dryer and a sub fluid bed dryer were installed to comply with increasing demand of the market.
Also the buildings and production areas were expanded for this purpose.
This was especially necessary in 2007 and 2008 when the turnover increased significantly due to closure or takeover of some European competitors.
In 2008 the ownership of the company was acquired by 4 members of the management; who together with all 45 employees continued to work for the company as they did before.
From 2009 to 2013 has been focused internally by implementing a further zoning system based, on the latest knowledge about food manufacturing principles , and acquiring the FSSC 22000 certificate.
At the end of 2013 all shares of the company were taken over by Ariake Japan. Ariake Japan is a leading company in the field of natural seasonings derived from livestock with ingredients from chicken, pork, beef and others. This company has affiliates in several Asian countries, USA and Europe.
